Description

In this course, students will develop and hone their skills in argumentation and public speaking. Special emphasis will be placed on developing the necessary capacities to construct well-researched, sound and compelling arguments to support a position as well as quickly formulating persuasive objections. Students enrolled in the course will participate in a public debate during the semester. 1 Credit hour. Three accumulative hours will comprise one 3 credit course. Credit for the Humanities Elective counts towards Goal 3: Human Expression in Literature, History, Art and Humanities General Education Requirement. Offered: Fall, Spring.
