Student Teaching is the penultimate experience for students working to earn a recommendation for a Level 1 Vermont State teaching license. It entails a semester of full-time teaching experience totaling 13-15 weeks. For two of these weeks, the student teacher teaches solo, conforming to all of the duties and expectations of a regular classroom teacher. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all required Education courses. Senior standing. GPA requirements fulfilled; praxis exams(s) passed or equivalent and Permission of Department Chair.
