Description
In this regional economics course, students complete a research project to analyze the economy of a country or region of interest. Students survey and evaluate the economic institutions and infrastructure of the region. Local, regional and global challenges and opportunities that exist in the region will be explored. The study will include recommendations for improving the well-being of people by strengthening the region's economic institutions and infrastructure. The course will culminate with a substantive research paper. Prerequisites: ECON 310 or Permission of Department Chair.
